This is a comic by Archie Comics and that world of comics. And Netflix wants a web of this comic universe too.
Its a 20 episode 2 season deal for now.
Riverdale was also started as 2 season flick and it needs more space to expand so Sabrina would be the starting of expansion of Archie Comics world. DC Comics has its comic world in TV series and it’s inspired from that only.
And Selena Gomez is in the lead role.

That time she showed her love towards teenage series. And this adds another reason why she could star in a teenage surrounding TV series.
