After Rachel Dolezal, a German model named Martina Adams claims that she has successfully transitioned into ‘A Black Woman’ via a Facebook post. She has popularly known as Martina Big due to her size 32 breasts. She has just released a batch of new shots as a ‘beautiful Baywatch girl’. Her racial transformation from a fair caucasian skin to dark crispy brown skin has definitely shocked her fans. She has already had 3 injections of melanin and she doesn’t plan to go back on them.
She admits to the fact that she is still using a 50 tube sunbed back in her home Trier, Germany. At the beginning, she didn’t expect to go that dark but now she is in complete awe of it. It wasn’t easy for Martina Big to make herself look like an African. Not only skin, she had to work on getting big fuller lips and hair extension with black curly hair. According to Martina Big, She is ‘not pretending to be a black girl’, but rather seeking to create a ‘unique and exotic Barbie’ with a dark tan, bright blonde hair and exaggerated curves.
These pictures below depict the progress of her tanning project. ‘To become more and more a black woman, that is such a wonderful feeling’, she wrote.
She made an official statement regarding the success of her transformation on her Facebook page.
Martina’s breast implants can be pumped up using ‘saline’ so that she can increase the size when she wishes to do so.
Her transformation has received major backlash on social media. Some of her fans feel that her actions are ridiculous and has insulted black people. Transforming into ‘A Black Woman’ doesn’t make her one of them. People think that the kind of caricature that she has achieved after surgeries isn’t what every black woman looks like.
In her defense, she says that her transformation wasn’t meant to offend anybody. She feels that being laughed on for following her heart and wishes isn’t absolutely fair.
Her actions have also been criticized by race Equality Foundation. ‘It’s a very sad and disappointing situation if people assume it’s just skin color that makes you black. She has a very limited understanding of what it means to be black or an ethnic minority today, and the challenges faced’, says Jaber Butt, Deputy Chief Executive of REF.
Before being a model, she was an air hostess. She started modifying her body in 2012, after her boyfriend, Michael encouraged her to start modeling.

Apparently, her blonde hair didn’t compliment her dark skin. She then decided to color her hair black and texture them according to typical African curly hair.
She still describes herself as European/Caucasian and says she won’t get her eyes or eyebrows changed accordingly. She wants to keep them natural as a symbol of her original identity.
According to a report, Martina Big has approximately spent £50,000 in order to transform herself into a black woman.
‘At first, I wanted to look like Pamela Anderson or Katie Price. But now, I realize that is not for me. These women are not curvy enough!’, she says.
