Scarlett Johansson was born in New York City on November 22, 1984, and is an American actress, model, and singer and comes from a long line of creative artists. Her Danish grandfather worked as a screenwriter and director, and her mother worked as a producer. She began acting as a child, and her role in the movie The Horse Whisperer brought her critical acclaim at age 13. She made her film debut in the fantasy comedy North (1994) and is best known for her work in films like ‘Lost in Translation,’ ‘The Nanny Diaries,’ ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona,’ ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Hitchcock.
Johansson married Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds in September 2008, they filed for divorce two years later in December 2010. After her split, she was romantically linked to actor Sean Penn, with whom she traveled to Mexico to attend actress Reese Witherspoon’s wedding in March 2011. Then she started dating journalist Romain Dauriac, with whom she had a baby girl, Rose, soon after the couple got married on October 1, 2014, but divorced barely after two years of marriage in March 2017.
In 2005, Johansson became a Global Ambassador for the aid and development agency Oxfam. She also campaigned for Democratic candidate John Kerry in the 2004 U.S. Presidential election.Some nude photographs of Johansson were hacked from her cell phone and published online in 2011. After an FBI investigation, Christopher Chaney was arrested, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
