From 2002 to 2008 Eminem was hooked to several prescription drugs.The rapper sank into a deep depression after the death of his friend Proof in 2006, he began abusing painkillers and lost his will to create. Eminem claimed that he used several different types of anti-depressants in an interview with The Guardian.

2. He Would Take 60 Pills In A Day.

Eminem’s drug addiction had worsened to the point that he was overdosing on pills. During the peak of his drug addiction, Eminem revealed that he was taking up to 60 Valium and 30 Vicodin pills a day.

3.He Allmost Died Of An Overdose.

The rapper revealed in a documentary How To Make Money Selling Drugs, which was released in selected US cinemas that he almost died of an overdose from methadone “The doctors told me I’d done the equivalent of four bags of heroin. They said I was about two hours away from dying. My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything… They didn’t think I was going to make it. My bottom was going to be death” he said.
