When we are sick or unhealthy, it’s visible and anyone can tell that we are unwell. But when it comes to mental illness, people should be given Oscars for their acting. People hide it so well that even if you are a close friend of someone, you would never know what’s bothering them unless they tell you about it. Mental illness has always been a very difficult situation to deal with and sometimes people don’t realize that it’s a big problem and they need help. Depression slowly kills you and we all have been through this at some point in our lives. If you have gotten over it, that’s truly amazing but if you are still hiding your mental illness, please open up and tell your friends about it.

The more we can be open up about depression and mental illness, the more lives we can save. I’m glad that this woman consulted her doctor before taking her life but not all do the same and end up their lives without having a second thoughts.
