How can someone take a daily dose of Arsenic knowing that it’s poison, right? But what happens with pornography is you do not know what you are intaking. It slow-poisons you, without you knowing it, destroying your future. It slowly creeps into your brain and it flushes away your feelings.
1. It’s capable of causing divorce.
If one partner is addictive to pornography, he wouldn’t think twice before choosing porn over a spouse. And this has happened in 56percent of United States’ divorce cases. Obviously, because there cannot be two different lovers in a marriage.
2. Pornography is super addictive.
And you would agree with this. Pornography is titled as the “drug of new millennium”. It works like other drugs only much worse. It manipulates with people’s thoughts, mind and behaviour, affecting their future.
3. It disturbs intimate relationships.
What is presented to us in pornography is false hope in a silver platter. There is no love or feelings involved. They are actors who present their body. They live by that. Expecting the same in real love just destroys the beautiful tenderness of intimacy, leaving one unsatisfied.
4. It has negative impact on your brain.
In a Ted Talk, a physiology teacher, Gary Wilson, talked about pornography experiment, titled “The great porn experiment.” He described how watching porn releases dopamine in body, reducing satisfaction, and causing insatiable appetite for it.
5. You lose respect for women.
Pornography shows women as objects who are only good enough to satisfy a man’s pleasure. And can be forced to do anything. This idea sets in your mind.
6. It causes to lose respect for men.
Not all women but men are also treated as objects, focusing only on carnal behaviour. But there is so much more to a human being.
7. It cuts you off from your children.
Pornography is a thing which when consumes one’s mind, they have no room for any other healthy relationships.
8. It ruins one’s career and future.
Your mind cannot concentrate on anything else once you start watching too much of pornography. It takes away your social, works as well as personal life.
9. You start abusing women and children.
A pornography-user looks out for extremes to satisfy their “highs”. They even move on to the extent of doing stuff physically which they watched in videos.
10. Your spiritual senses are deadened.
The love and belief in God and other spiritual things will gradually fade away.
11. It goes on to set out a terrible example for children.
Today’s kids are fast learners, and they somehow find out about pornography at a very young age. When they see their parents watching, they think it’s nothing wrong. And then we get another generation stepping into same footsteps towards future destruction.
12. It’s sure to cause shame and self-deprecation.
Your mind knows it’s wrong, but you still continue as your addiction won’t let you go. That conscience pricking you everytime paves way to excessive low self-esteem. Be sure the future is dark if you instantly do not get help out of addiction.
