Freckles, dark spots, pimples are all part of an adolescent’s life cycle. Some of them are scared of it, some of them try removing it, and some of them accept it and move on. A photographer named Brock Elbank who is a London based professional who tries to emphasize on the so-called imperfections and turn them into magnificent images/ photographs to celebrate their unique beauty. This series is called ‘Freckles’ and is celebrating the beauty of individuals with freckles. For this series, his goal is to take 180 portrait images of different individuals all across various ages, race, country, and creed. From May to October, an exhibition of these portraits will take place in Regionmuseet Kristianstad (Sweden) and an art book will be released by September.

Brock Elbank said “I’ve always loved freckles. What I find interesting about individual characters that I have been fortunate enough to photograph is that many have struggled with their freckles since their infancy and either hated them or grown to live with them or even like them in adulthood.”
These are some powerful images showing the world the unique beauty and personality of these so-called not good looking models. They have given beauty another identity as some of those eyes are just captivating and in a single glance has left upon such positivity that it is mind-boggling. Kudos to the photographer for such masterpieces.
