YouTube has been one of the biggest and quickest growing platforms since the very beginning. The reason obviously would be the wide scope it provides for any individual from all over the world and not to mention the way it connects the whole world. But the company has kept some hacks hidden from us.
1. Send a video to your friend marking the part you want them to see.
I bet this is one of the unknown hacks. But it’s too easy just tap on the “Share”. In the following tab check the box next to “Start at:”. Type in the required time. An automatic link would be created which you need to copy and send to whoever you want.
2. Make your video to hit the top of finding list.
If you are a YouTube video creator, then this is one of the hidden hacks, which proves to be very useful for you. There is an option to add transcript under the CC (closed caption) button.
3. Play YouTube in the background.
No other hacks can make you as happy as this. Because you always wanted to know this hidden secret.
For iPhone users, just open any browser, choose the video you want to watch and play it. Go back to your home screen and let the video play in the background. Then go to the Action Centre. Now go left to the second screen of Action Centre. The details of the video should appear. Tapping Play after that would do the work.
For Android users, open any browser and play the video you want on YouTube. If you open the Settings menu, you’ll find ‘Request Desktop Site’. Then tap the home button, your video will keep playing in background.
4. Protect your children from viewing unwanted videos.
You might not know this but YouTube has a different kid’s version which is easily available on Playstore.
5. Clean your Watch history before leaving.
Some hacks are not even hidden, they are right there but you overlook them. Go to Library- History- Clear Watch History and you are safe for the day. If you want any of your further histories not to be recorded, click on Pause Watch History.
