In spite of medical science’s long path on searching the cures for almost everything, we are still left with a bunch of awful diseases. The diseases which even science find difficult to explain. Whether it is about a virus rotting your lungs or the disease that would make you poop to death, they all exist. And we are sure you wouldn’t want to get diagnosed with any of these, ever. Like seriously, who would want to hear “I don’t know” from the doctors themselves? However, the percentage of people suffering from these diseases is very low. But as baffled as we may seem, these diseases do make it difficult for even science to explain the cause and cures.
1. Burning Mouth Syndrome

While some people couldn’t even bear with the burning sensation of spicy food, there are people who suffer this all day long. This rare disease is called burning mouth syndrome and the patient feels acute burning of tongue, gums, and inner cheeks with apparently no cause.
2. Foreign Accent Syndrome

Imagine your friend suddenly start speaking with an accent different than yours. Well, unless he had taken those extra language classes, you’d be baffled. This is yet another mysterious disease where a person starts speaking in a different accent. In some cases, even the sufferers don’t realize they’re doing this.
3. Exploding Head Syndrome

The sufferers experience loud bang inside their heads which resembles as if the head’s about to explode. Our pretty science, however, finds it difficult to explain.
4. Crib Death

Known as one of the most infamous diseases, this one particularly targets the infants. The children aged 1 month to 1 year die in their sleep itself. What causes this, is still unknown.
5. Aquagenic Urticaria

The sufferers of this disease experience skin burn and allergic reactions when they come in contact with water. To sum it up, it is more like rabies but is not rabies.
6. Nodding Disease

Do not mistake a continuous nodding as approval because who knows, it might be a mental issue. First discovered in Africa, people suffering from this disease nod their head continuously.
7. Laughing Death

In this disease, the brain degrades slowly and make it difficult for the person to even speak, walk or control their muscles. During this time, the sufferer often expects bursts of laughter that may result in unexpected death.
8. Jakob Disease

Similar to the mad cow’s disease, this one has ill-effects on the humans. While the mad cow disease turns cow’s brain into mush, Jakob Disease liquefies human brain.
9. Sweating Sickness

One of such awful diseases is the sweating sickness which begins as shivering and headaches. It then profuse sweating and ultimately death. It is contagious and science can’t explain why.
10. Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome

The symptoms of this syndrome include repeated vomiting and nausea. The person may suffer vomiting once every 5 minutes for 3-4 weeks!
11. Morgellons Disease

The disease has symptoms which begin with skin lesions, stinging and crawling sensations. Researchers find it difficult to whether classify it as a new illness or a mixture of existing ones.
12. Germany’s Mystery Calf Disease

The mystery calf disease changes the cow’s bone marrow to jelly. Thi prevents the formation of clots and the cow bleed out to death.
